Building out a uniquely designed office environment is always a challenge, but the offices of public relations firm Think New Ideas, Inc., really stretched the envelope. Naturally, they required a contractor who could also "think outside of the box" when it came to making their vision a reality. After interviewing several contractors they hired Edifice Construction Company, Inc. to help them achieve their vision.

NBBJ translated the clients vision into an environment that is whimsical, and at the same time, down to earth and businesslike. Occupying 21,000 square feet on two floors of Seattle's Polsen Building, the clean, sparse design is highlighted by the use of nontraditional materials and construction methods.

Upon entry, one is greeted with a reception area whose focal point is a floor to ceiling wall made entirely of recycled windows. Sealed, exposed plywood, aluminum skylights, open ceilings with exposed beams and ductwork contrast with custom casework, custom furnishings and reception station, and contrasting paint and carpet schemes.
